B.A. and Master's in Economics, Catholic University of Chile. Ph.D in Economics, University of California at Berkeley. She currently works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Chile. She was a Visiting Scholar at the Economics Department of the University of Chicago (September 1997-March 1998), and taught at the Catholic University of Chile over 1998-2000.
Other positions she held include research analyst for the
Energy and Environment Division of the Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory, Berkeley-California, USA, and for the Department
of Industrial and Commercial Policy of the Ministry of Chilean
Economic Affairs. Her areas of research and teaching are statistics
and financial econometrics. She has published in The Review
of Economics and Statistics, International Review of Financial
Analysis, Energy Economics, The Quaterly Review of Economics
and Finance, The Journal of Financial Intermediation, among
others. She has served as a referee for Environmental and Resource
Economics, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, The International
Journal of Operations and Quantitative Management, among others.
