Research Fellow in the “Incomes, Poverty and Social Policy Modeling” Unit, involved in the following projects: AIM-AP (Accurate Income Measurement for the Assessment of Public Policies, 2006-2008), funded by the European Commission (FP6) and coordinated by Holly Sutherland (ISER, University of Essex), Panos Tsakloglu and Manos Matsaganis (University of Athens), the project aims at investigating the distributional effects of non-cash incomes, the implication of errors in targeting social benefits, tax evasion and measurement error in income data, and the effects of direct and indirect taxes on redistribution; I-CUE (Improving the capacity and the usability of the European microsimulation model EUROMOD, 2005-2007), funded by: European Commission (FP6) and coordinated by: Holly Sutherland (ISER, University of Essex), the project objective is to include in the current existing European tax/benefit microsimulation model EUROMOD prototype models from the New Member States; Observatory on the Social Situation in the European Union (2005-2007), funded by the European Commission, the project aims at monitoring and reporting on trends in income distribution and social inclusion in the 25 Member States; MICRESA (Micro-level analysis of the European Social Agenda, 2001 – 2004) funded by the European Commission (FP5) and coordinated by Holly Sutherland (ISER, University of Essex), the project explored the impacts of national social and fiscal policies on poverty reduction using the microsimulation model EUROMOD.
